Overview
Transcripts are one of the main source documents you can analyze in Delve (the other is Surveys). Each transcript becomes a document you can work with throughout your project. They contain the text you review, code, and organize during your qualitative analysis.
A transcript in Delve can represent:
An interview
A focus group
A meeting
A field note
Any other text-based qualitative source
Once a transcript is added, you can:
Read and code passages
Add memos to your snippets
Use AI tools (if enabled)
Edit transcript text
Rename, reorder, or delete transcripts
Link directly to specific locations in a transcript
Note: Some Delve features, such as Transcript AI, work directly on transcript pages. To learn more, see:
Transcript File Types
Delve supports transcripts that are text-based. You can add transcripts as:
TXT files
DOCX files
PDF files
Copied and pasted text directly into Delve
For more information, see Add a Transcript.

If your data is in audio or video form, it should first be transcribed into text before being added to Delve. If you have a CSV file, see Surveys.
