Archive and Unarchive a Project

How to Archive and Unarchive Projects in Delve

Written by Alex Limpaecher

Overview

Archiving a project in Delve removes it from your active project list while keeping the data safe in the system. Projects can later be unarchived if you need to resume work.

Only project owners can archive and unarchive projects. Collaborators will not have access to archived projects through the Delve interface, they must be unarchived for them to resume access.

Note: Archiving a project is different from deleting a project. Deleting a project permanently removes it from Delve, the data will no longer be recoverable. For more information see the article Delete a Project.

Archive a Project

Note: Once you archive a project, you won’t be able to view the contents until you unarchive it.

Click the arrow icon in the upper left corner.

A window will open with a list of all projects you have access to. Locate the project you want to archive.

Click the three dots on the right-hand side of the project row and select Archive Project.

Note: If you do not see the option to Archive Project, then you are not the owner of the project. You will need to contact the user who shared the project with you and ask them to archive it.

The project will now be removed from your active project list.

Unarchive a Project

Click your Username in the bottom left of the page and select Account.

Scroll to the Data section and click View archived projects.

A window will open with all of your archived projects. Locate the desired project and click the three dots to the right. Select Unarchive Project.

Note: If you do not see the project archived, check your active projects again. If it is not there, then check with collaborators to see if they are the ones who own the project as it would be archived in their accounts.

The project should now appear in your active projects list and for any collaborators.
