Delve works with text-based data, so audio and video files cannot be imported directly as transcripts. If your research data consists of interviews, focus groups, or other recorded conversations, you must first create a text transcript.
Options for Transcribing Audio
You can create a transcript using:
An automatic transcription service
A human transcription service
Your own transcription process
Another transcription tool that produces a text-based transcript
The best option depends on your budget, timeline, language requirements, and desired level of accuracy. Once you have a transcript, save or export it as a supported text-based format such as TXT, DOCX, or PDF.
Then follow the Add a Transcript article to import it into Delve.
Transcription Services
Get transcripts generated within minutes. They won’t be perfect and will likely require editing, but these services include good editing experiences that link the text to audio.
Otter
YouTube transcripts
Multilingual Connections: A transcription and translation agency that works in over 75 languages
Options for Video
Delve also does not support images or audio and so cannot directly analyze video files. If your research data is contained in a video, create a text transcript first.
You can use any of the services mentioned above for audio transcription or any other service you prefer. You can then follow the Add a Transcript article to import it into Delve.
