Overview
Participant Information in Delve allows you to capture demographic or descriptive details about participants in your study. This article goes over how to create these descriptors, their options, and add them to Transcripts.
You can locate Participant Information by opening a transcript and click the View dropdown in the top left. Select Participant Information.
Any existing Descriptors and their option dropdowns will appear on the Participant Information page.
Assign Participant Information to a Transcript
To assign a Participant Information Descriptor to a transcript, simply select the desired option for a filter. Your changes will be saved automatically.
Create Participant Information
Scroll to the bottom of the Participant Information page and click Add Descriptor.
Enter the following:
Descriptor Name – The category being described (e.g., Location Type). This is the first and left-most box in the new section.
Options – Specific values under the descriptor (e.g., Urban, Rural, Suburban). You can continue to add more clicking Add Option.
Click Done to save.
Note: The descriptor and it’s options will be available for all transcripts in the project now.
FAQs
Q: Do I need a new descriptor for every transcript?
A: No. Once created, descriptors appear for all transcripts. You only need to select the appropriate option.
